Lexington road crews worked most of Friday to treat and clear the snow from city streets and prepare for another round of slippery weather over the weekend.
The city is expecting up to another two inches of snowfall on Saturday, Saturday night and Sunday morning.
"Our main concern Friday night will be from black ice," said Rob Allen, a manager with the Division of Streets and Roads. "All we can do is salt it and ask people to slow down."
The Streets and Roads crews moved into a 24-hour operation on Friday and will work continuous 12-hour shifts through Sunday, Allen said. They have been on the job since Friday afternoon, pre-treating the main streets and thoroughfares.
