Lexington police say a man shot inside a Lexington apartment Tuesday night has died.

Police say they got a call around 9 p.m. after someone heard shots from a unit at the Matador North Apartments on Winburn Drive and found a young man suffering from at least one gunshot wound inside. EMS took the victim to UK Hospital where he later died.

Officials have not released the victim's identity.

Police say officers took two people in for questioning, and they continue to search for a person of interested spotted in the area. That person is a black man in his late teens or early 20s, about 5-feet-5 inches tall. He was wearing a white checked shirt, jeans and a dark colored hat with a teal brim. He had red dreadlocks with red beads in them.
