A standoff in Lexington ended without any arrests early Wednesday morning.
Police say a woman claims she was assaulted by one of her three roommates in a house along Parkers Mill Road, near Airport Road around 10 p.m. Tuesday. The woman fired off several shots, then barricaded herself inside the house and refused to come out.
That sparked a full police response, including a helicopter. A police negotiator tried to reach the woman by phone and with a loudspeaker, but she refused to respond. About three hours later, police sent two robots into the house, located the woman and finally took her into custody.
EMS took the woman to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Police say the woman and the roommate offered conflicting stories, and they have not made any arrests, but continue to investigate.
