Lexington Street Closures For Fourth Of July Celebrations

Police will close numerous streets in downtown Lexington for Fourth of July celebrations

Here is a list of closures. The list does not include all street closures for the Bluegrass 10,000.


Main St. from Midland to Mill - closed 5-11am (BG 10,000 )
Main St. from MLK to Mill - closed 5am - 9pm (Street Festival)
Main St. from Midland to Broadway - closed (1:45 - 4pm Parade)
Main St. from Broadway to Jefferson - closed 4pm - 11:00pm (4th of July LIVE Concert)
Short St from Mill to MLK - 5am - 9pm
Short St. from MLK to Eastern Ave. - closed 7am - 11am (Fun Run)
Midland from E. Third to Main - closed 11:45am - 4pm (Parade)
Vine St. from Broadway to Midland - closed 7am - 11am (BG 10,000)
Rose St. from High to Short - closed 7am - 11am and 1:30pm - 4pm
Quality from Main to Water - closed 5am - 11am and 2pm - 4pm
Esplanade from Main to Short - closed 5am - 11am and 2pm - 4pm
MLK from High to Short - closed 7am - 11am and 2pm - 4pm
Limestone from Vine to Barr - closed 5am - 9pm
Limestone from High to Vine - closed 7am - 11am
Upper from Church to Vine closed 5am - 9pm
Mill from Short to High - closed 7am - 11am and 2pm - 4pm
Broadway from High to Third - closed 2pm - 4pm (parade) and 9:50 - 10:30pm (fireworks)
Oliver Lewis Way from Main to Manchester - closed 9:30 - 10:30pm
Leestown from Forbes to Newtown - closed 9:45 - 10:30pm
