More than two years since the death of their daughter, a Lexington family gathered on her birthday to celebrate her life.
Donisha Lewis was two-years-old when she was discovered unresponsive in the bathtub at her babysitter's home. The babysitter, Robin Waddy, was a friend and cousin of Lewis' mother.
Waddy plead guilty to second degree manslaughter.
Sunday afternoon, relatives gathered at Donisha's headstone at Lexington Cemetery to release balloons and light birthday candles. They also laid a present and a birthday card there for the little girl. She would have turned five-years-old Sunday.
"Mommy will always love you and know that I will get justice," says Alnisha Lewis, Donisha's mother.
Lewis says Robin Waddy was denied parole at her most recent hearing. She's serving a 7.5 year sentence.
