A Louisville corrections facility escapee who had told police that he'd turn himself in Wednesday did so Wednesday afternoon.
Lexington Police surrounded a home on Augusta Drive around 2 a.m. Wednesday after tracking Louis Taylor's cell phone. The 24-year old has been on the run since he allegedly escaped from a Louisville corrections facility Monday.
Police in Stanford took him into custody at about 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
Taylor reportedly has charges against him in Madison and Garrard counties. The clerk in Garrard County said Taylor was sent to jail on a theft charge and later violated his probation.
Taylor's mother says her son does have some mental problems.
