Police are looking for a man who escaped from custody in Louisville and has ties to central Kentucky.

According to jail officials, Louis Taylor, 24, went missing from the LMDC Community Correction Center on Chestnut Street sometime during the day Monday. Later that evening, a woman called the LEX 18 newsroom and said she contacted police after Taylor called her out of the blue.

Taylor has arrests on record in Lincoln and Madison Country. Authorities say they consider him dangerous.
