A Madison County woman was killed Tuesday night in a crash in Laurel County.

The accident happened at about 7 p.m. at the junction of Kentucky 363 and Maple Grove Road in Laurel County. Tommie Johnson, 60, of Berea was driving a Chevy Caviler when she collided with a Dodge Durango driven by Charles Joseph, 19, of London. Johnson was extracted from her vehicle, but died from her injuries.

Joseph received minor injuries and was transported to St. Joseph Hospital via a personal vehicle.

According to police, Johnson was attempting to turn left onto Kentucky 363 when she pulled out in front of Joseph, who was traveling southbound on the road.
