Pavement work along US-60 between Lexington and Versailles will likely mean slowdowns and traffic hassles over the next several months starting on Monday.
Work will cover more than 13 miles between New Circle Road in Fayette County to the Bluegrass Parkway. Crews will break up concrete and replace it with asphalt. Officials say they expect work to continue through December at a cost of nearly $30 million.
On Monday, work will begin with crews shutting down one westbound lane from New Circle Road to Rice Road, about a mile past Man O' War. Officials will lower posted speed limits in work-zones and violators will risk double fines.
