The man accused in a Lexington murder is scheduled to appear in court Thursday morning.

Police say Carlos Taylor shot and killed Carlos Castillo-Godoy outside an apartment building along Larkin Road Jan. 25. In court documents, witnesses say Taylor drove to Lexington from Nicholasville to buy drugs from Godoy.

"They accused me of murder. Some dude named Carlos, but I haven't been paying any attention to it," Taylor told LEX 18 in an interview from jail.

Taylor is scheduled to appear in Fayette District Court at 8:30 a.m. for a preliminary hearing.
