Lexington police arrested a man early Thursday morning and charged him with criminal abuse in the case of a shaken baby.

A police report indicates Dustin M. Watson, 22, shook his 11-month-old stepdaughter, causing retinal bleeding in both eyes. He also "caused physical injury to the child's left eye," according to the police report.

Officers arrested Watson around 1:30 a.m. at his home on Call Drive, off Winchester Road.
