Deputies arrested a man after locating a 4-year-old child unattended near a road Monday evening.
Officials say deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a child in the middle of Lilly Road, four miles south of London, around 7:15 p.m. The deputy located the boy near the road. As he investigated, the man responsible for the child came out of his home. Officials say the deputy determined the man was under the influence of drugs and made an arrest.
Deputies charged Jonathan Davis, 29, with endangering the welfare of a minor and public intoxication - controlled substance.
Social services was called in to care for the child.
