Lexington police arrested a man after a fight involving a knife and a baseball bat early Tuesday morning.

Police say a man and a woman got into an argument on Fifth Street around 2 a.m. Investigators say when a second man tried to intervene, Jesse Ross Jr., 60, attacked him with a knife and a baseball bat. The victim suffered a cut on the wrist.

Police arrested Ross and charged him with assault.
