Lexington police arrested a man after a grab-and-dash robbery late Wednesday night.
Police say officers were already at the Nicholasville Road Walmart investigating a shoplifting case when they saw employees chasing a man through the store. Investigators say David Hale, 35, was running for the exit toting a 32-inch flat screen TV. Employees say they saw Hale push down a greeter on the way out the door. Police say officers followed him to a pickup truck where he tossed the TV and kept running.
Officers made the arrest a short time later.
Police say the people sitting in the truck had no idea what Hale was doing, and they were not charged.
The greeter suffered a minor injury, but will reportedly be just fine.
Hale faces a second degree robbery charge, according to jail records.
