Man Arrested In Connection With Lexington Murder

Two months after a Lexington murder, police arrested a man they say was involved in the crime.

According to court documents, officers arrested Delvegio Christopher Lax, 29. Police say he checked in with his probation officer Wednesday afternoon and was arrested on a warrant.

Police say three people got into an altercation in the parking lot of the Northpoint Health Care Center on Trent Boulevard back on Oct. 2, and Maurice Ward Jr. shot and killed Anthony Beaumont Jr. According to court documents, Lax "provided the means and opportunity to commit murder" that day. Police say Lax "provided transportation" to the co-defendant leaving the scene of the murder.

Police picked up Ward a couple of weeks after the shooting in Tennessee and charged him with murder.

Police charged Lax with criminal facilitation.
