A man who lead police on a high-speed chase across county lines went in front of a judge Saturday morning.
Robert Lawson plead not guilty to nearly a dozen charges, including assault on a police officer and wanton endangerment.
He was pulled over Friday around 4:30 near I-64 in Louisville. Police say Lawson took off while talking with an officer.
He was caught in a wooded area in Shelby County after ditching his car.
Police believe he was trying to get away because of outstanding warrants for drug possession in Kentucky and Indiana.
Lawson is expected to be back in court on Monday.
