Lexington police are investigating a bizarre home invasion that took place early Tuesday morning.

Police say a Hispanic man entered a house along the 1200 block of Alexandria Drive trough an unlocked side window around 3 a.m. Inside the room the man entered, two children were sleeping. Investigators say the man was performing a sex act on himself when one of the girls woke up. The man fled when the child saw him, but not before grabbing some money off a dresser.

Officers called in a K-9 unit to track the suspect, but so far have not located him. Police say they did get good fingerprints and collected some DNA evidence at the scene.

The two little girls were not hurt.
