The man charged in a violent home invasion and sexual attack in Laurel County last month was in court Tuesday morning.

A Laurel County woman and her son were asleep in their last month, when Tyler Gross, 22, allegedly broke in and robbed and sexually assaulted the woman.

During Tuesday's hearing, a detective testified that the victim had been tied up and that Gross was armed with a gun and a knife. He also testified that Gross' family found items stolen from the victim's home, and that they returned those items to the family.

The case is being sent to the grand jury.
