Deputies in Laurel County have charged a man in connection with two recent robberies.

Deputies say the robber pulled a knife on a man at his home on KY-3434 last Friday and demanded his wallet. The victim's wife called 911 and the suspect fled in a silver car.

Investigators say they noticed similarities to a home invasion on Robinson Road back on July 28. In that robbery, the suspect knocked on the door, and when the victim answered, the robber shoved him down, stole his wallet and a watch, and then fled in a silver car similar to the one in the Aug. 3 robbery.

On Tuesday, deputies charged Joshua Dooley, 25, with two counts of robbery.

Deputies say Dooley was out on parole after a prior conviction on a manufacturing meth charge.
