A judge on Friday handed down a 20-year sentence for a man who admitted stabbing a dentist at the Fayette County Health Department last year.

Police say Daniel Hale robbed then stabbed Dr. Candice Flener as she walked into work. He told police he did drugs before the attack.

Hale was given prison time on both assault and robbery charges, but some of it runs concurrently.
