A man injured in a house fire in Pulaski County Thursday afternoon has died from his injuries.

The fire broke out at about 1:30 p.m. at a home on Happy Circle Drive in Somerset. Officials at the scene say there is extensive damage to the home, but that the roof is still standing.

The victim, Arthur Jackson, was taken to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The fire was put out just before 3 p.m. Officials say the likeliest cause of the fire is electrical.
