A man suffered injuries in a single vehicle crash along northbound I-75 in Lexington Thursday morning.
Police say a witness told them a car entering the interstate around 7:30 a.m. cut off another vehicle and then passed at more than 70 mph. The driver of the car lost control near mile maker 109, left the roadway and went airborne. The car landed on all four wheels in a bush. Officials say the man driving suffered a head injury and possibly a broken arm. The victim was not trapped, but firefighters had to cut off the passenger side door to get him out because of his injuries. EMS took him to the hospital for treatment.
Police shut down the right lane for a time, causing a backup along northbound I-75.
