A single vehicle accident along northbound I-75 in Fayette County sent one person to the hospital and snarled traffic early Friday morning.
Police say the driver of an SUV told them his brakes locked up, causing him to lose control near mile marker 116 around 5:15 a.m. The SUV flipped and crashed into a concrete barrier.
The victim suffered some minor cuts and was complaining of rib pain. EMS took him to the hospital.
Police shut down the two left-hand lanes of northbound I-75, causing about a half-mile backup. The lanes were shut down for about an hour as crews cleared the scene.
