An elderly man died in a single-vehicle crash in McCreary County Monday afternoon.

Police say William Leo Lynch, 94, of Whitley City, was driving southbound along US-27 in the Parker Lake community around 4:30 p.m. when he suddenly crossed the center line. The car went across the northbound lane and slammed head on into a tree.

Investigators say they have not determined the cause of the accident.
