Officials say wet roads are to blame for a fatal crash in Scott County Monday morning.
The accident happened just before 11 a.m. on Leestown Road just east of Paynes Depot. Scott County deputies say the driver of a Toyota Forerunner was heading eastbound when his SUV hydroplaned, crossed the center line then over corrected in the westbound lane.
Officials say a truck hauling a vehicle broad-sided the Forerunner on the driver's side. The driver of the SUV, whose name has not yet been released, died at UK Hospital. There is no word on the condition of the truck driver.
