A community is rallying around a Knott County family that lost everything in a house fire, and the man who saved his parents' lives.
The blaze started in a dryer and quickly spread through the entire home last week. Chris Fitch jumped into action and pulled his mother and stepfather from the burning mobile home.
"By the time I got through there, the smoke was overwhelming. I went to get him, he's in a wheelchair, the light started flickering on and off. I got him out; by the time we got there it was already gone. The fire department couldn't save it," Fitch said.
The fire completely destroyed the mobile home.
The old Hindman Methodist Church is holding a fundraiser all day Wednesday to help the family.
