Lexington police made a quick arrest following a bank robbery Monday afternoon.
The robbery happened at about 3:45 p.m. at the Whitaker Bank on Paris Pike. Police say the suspect, Michael Roe, 47, was believed to be escaping the bank in a blue van, but was arrested before he got out of the parking lot of a gas station next door to the bank after a tanker truck blocked him in.
So far, there is no word on if Roe had a weapon or how much money he got from the bank.
This isn't the first arrest for Roe in a bank robbery. He pleaded guilty to a 2007 Scott County bank robbery.
