Police say a young man robbed a victim as he was carrying Christmas gifts into his Lexington home Wednesday night.

The robbery took place along Martin Luther King Boulevard around 10:30 p.m. Police say the suspect, armed with a handgun, approached the victim and demanded money. The robber got away with the man's wallet, but did not steal any of his Christmas presents.

Investigators say the victim described the robber as young, perhaps as young as 16, standing about 5-foot-8.
