LA GRANGE (AP) - Authorities are investigating the shooting deaths of two women in Oldham County.

Oldham County police were called to a rural address around 3:30 p.m. Sunday. They discovered the bodies of the two women, and a man with lacerations to his arm was taken to the hospital.

Police said 57-year-old Ronnie Evridge, who owned the property, told officers he was attacked inside his property and acted in self-defense.

The women were identified as 24-year-old Sandy Allen and 21-year-old Heather Faulkerson, both of Louisville. Family members say the women were sisters.

The man was released from the hospital late Sunday night and was immediately questioned by police.

Authorities aren't sure what the relationship was between the two women and the man, who isn't facing charges at this time.
