A man was sentenced to 16 years for a 2012 stabbing death in Lexington.
Gerardo Rodriguez, 29, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of 66-year-old Douglas Saylor at his Elsmere Park home.
According to court documents, Rodriguez called his brother around the same time Saylor was killed on June 6, 2012, and said he'd done something bad and was leaving town.
Police in East St. Louis, Ill. arrested Rodriguez on June 16.
Rodriguez once worked for Saylor.
