A judge sentenced a man convicted of killing a Lexington cab driver back in 2011 to life in prison Friday morning.
A jury convicted John Cherry, Jr., 30, of murder, finding he shot Amine Lemghaili in the head after the taxi stopped on Hedgewood Court.
According to court records, Cherry told police he only remembered portions of the night. He claims he recalled getting out of the cab without paying.
