Man Struck Along Bridge, Knocked Into Ohio River

A vehicle struck a man along the I-75 Brent Spence Bridge Friday morning, throwing him into the Ohio River.

According to Cincinnati TV station WLWT, officials say the victim's SUV broke down on the southbound side of the bridge. He got out of the vehicle and raised the hood. At some point, another vehicle struck him and he went into the river.

Crews from the Covington and Cincinnati police departments, along with the U.S. Coast Guard were using boats to search for the victim.

Officials advise that commuters should take I-71 to to I-471 to cross the river.
