Deputies in Scott County are searching for a man who tied up an employee and robbed a gas station early Tuesday morning.
The manager of the Pilot station on Triport Road, off I-75 north of Georgetown, says he was working in his office around midnight when he heard a knock at the door. A man forced his way in and tied him up. Deputies say the robber took thousands of dollars from the safe and also stole the disc out of the store's surveillance video computer.
"It seems at this time he's possibly an experienced subject in this. He knew exactly what he was doing and what he needed to get out," Scott County Sheriff's deputy Jeb Barnes said.
An employee spotted the suspect leaving and untied the manager.
The manager suffered some minor injuries to his head.
Deputies say the suspect was a black man standing around 6 feet 1 inch, with a dark complexion and thin build. He was wearing a blue fleece hoodie and black shoes.
