A Laurel County man who admitted to setting his bed-ridden grandmother on fire is scheduled to be sentenced Friday afternoon in the case.

Daniel Nolan was scheduled for trial in June when he opted for a guilty plea on the assault charge. He was accused of pouring lighter fluid on Hazel Nolan's blanket and lighting it.

The 75-year-old woman suffered serious burns in the incident.
