Officials have released the name of the man who died after his car apparently got stuck in the mud in Mercer County.

Officials say a motorist driving along Mundys Landing Road spotted a person lying along the side of the roadway early Monday morning. EMS took the Curtis Keeling, 82, to a local hospital where he later died. Deputies say he likely died from hypothermia.

Deputies later found the Keeling's car about a mile away. It appears the vehicle got stuck in the mud and he walked away looking for help.
