BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - Marion County's Makayla Epps scored 22 points n leading the Lady Knights to a 71-32 win over Montgomery County in the quarterfinals of the KHSAA Girls Sweet 16 in Diddle Arena.
Marion County (36-0) advances to Saturday's semifinals against the winner of Anderson County and Shelby Valley.
Epps, the 2012-13 Gatorade Kentucky Girls Basketball Player of the Year, added six assists and five rebounds on Friday.
Logan Powell added 19 points, eight rebounds and three steals for the Region 5 champion Lady Knights. Kentucky signee Kyvin Goodin-Rogers has 16 points, 11 rebounds, five blocks and five steals.
Erica Rogers had a team-high 11 points for Region 10 champ Montgomery County (28-6).
Marion County held the Lady Indians to 29.5 percent field goal shooting and out-rebounded Montgomery County 42-25.
