A Marshall County U.S. Postal Service worker has been arrested and charged with inappropriate sexual conduct with a resident on his mail delivery route.

Howard D. Oakley, 44, of Hardin was arrested Wednesday after an investigation by Kentucky State Police. Police say Oakley, who was a rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service, had allegedly gone into a residence on his mail route and made inappropriate sexual contact with the resident.

Oakley has been charged with third-degree sexual abuse. He was held in the Marshall County Detention Center.
