A Marshall County mother accused of dropping her child on the interstate while high on "bath salts" has pleaded guilty in the case.
Cynthia Palmer's trial was set to begin on March 13, but under the deal, she pleaded guilty to charges of assault, public intoxication, DUI, drug paraphernalia, and wanton endangerment. She will serve 10 years for the charges.
Last February. Palmer's two-year-old child was found along Interstate 24. Palmer says she hallucinated after snorting synthetic cocaine - or bath salts - and thought the baby was a demon when she dropped him on the highway.
