The parents of a teen who drowned four years ago are giving back to the community that supported them through the tragedy.
Mike Carnahan and Lisa Lamb say football was Seth Carnahan's passion. The 13-year-old died in 2009 while playing with friends near the Great Crossing Dam in Scott County. His parents say the Anderson County Middle School football team rallied around the family after the accident, and now they've found a way to give back, through the Seth Carnahan Memorial Bowl.
"And everything they did for him in his memory, and they continue doing, has just meant the world to us. To know that nobody's forgot him. And that's what we're trying to do with this."
The game between Anderson County and Union Middle will play out Saturday at Warford Stadium on the campus of Anderson County High School at 10 a.m. All proceeds will go to the Anderson County Middle School football program.
