Showers and storms this morning created a soggy start to the day. Some heavy downpours from slow-moving storms prompted a flash flood warning in parts of Breathitt, Knott, and Perry counties. Flash flooding is still ongoing in some communities just before 10am, especially in Knott county near Hindman. If you live in the Flash Flood Warning area, don't try to drive through standing water or water-covered roadways!
An area of low pressure continues to track eastward, taking the heavy rainfall threat with it. For the rest of today, it will be mostly cloudy with some light on and off showers. It will be muggy with high temperatures reaching the low 80s.
