Police in Morgan County continue to investigate an overnight shooting they now call a homicide.

Officials say James Patton, 27, was found in the yard outside of a home along Archie Watkins Road, just off KY-772, early Tuesday morning. Officials say Patton suffered a fatal gunshot wound.

Police have not released any more information on the investigation.
