A woman has been arrested and charged with first degree arson and attempted murder in connection with an incident that happened in September at her Lexington home.

Police say Lamonica Hill told them she was sleepwalking when she started a fire inside her apartment on Lima Drive. She told them she had been dreaming about grilling out. Investigators said they found charcoal starter fluid and a grill lighter in the room where the fire started.

According to the arrest citation, Hill drugged her child and blocked his escape route.

A press conference was called for Monday afternoon. LEX 18 will have the latest on this developing story as it becomes available.
