A Laurel County mother charged with abandonment has been indicted by a grand jury.

Police say Rachel Kilburn and her boyfriend Johnathon Haynes left the 10-week-old girl with Haynes' brother for two days and he didn't know how to take care of an infant. Deputies were called to the brother's home and found the baby dead.

Kilburn will be in court again October 22.
