It's been exactly one year since a man was found dead on the side of the road in Boyle County. Now, Michael Begley Junior's mother is visiting the spot he was found for the first time, to make sure others remember her son, too.
"I've got my good days and I've got my bad days," says Anna Begley, Michael's mother.
Sunday was one of the bad days. It was a year ago that Michael Begley Junior's body was found on Taylor Road in Boyle County. His mother is back visiting the area for the first time, to place a cross in the spot where he died.
"I want them to remember that there was once a life taken from me. The love and joy he brought his family that's what I want them to remember," says Begley.
Police say Begley got into a fight with three people, including his girlfriend Gina Priest. That's when police say Jordan White tried to break-up the fight by choking Begley. Begley was then dumped on the side of the road where he later died.
A third person involved, Melissa Luna, was shot to death in October.
Priest and White are due in court in December.
"He was so full of life, for them to take him away from us isn't fair at all," says Begley.
