The driver of a mangled Mustang in Lincoln County said the car's throttle raced up to 130 miles per hour right before they went out of control and flipped.
Hustonsville's Police Chief said he was running radar Thursday morning when he saw a blue car speed through the intersection of US 78.
He later found it upside down.
The driver, Justin Sowers and his girlfriend, Amy Whitis had both been thrown. The only reported injury was Whitis having a broken arm.
Sowers told police he'd been working on his throttle and today it got stuck.
He tried everything he could think of to get it to stop but couldn't avoid the crash.
