ELSMERE (AP) - Police are investigating the death of a northern Kentucky man who was hit by a train while walking.
The Kentucky Enquirer cited police in reporting that 62-year-old Gregory Hansen of Erlanger was hit Saturday morning at a crossing in Elsmere, about a mile from his home.
His wife, Bonne Hansen, said her husband walked every day and always wore headphones to listen to music. She says her assumption is that he thought he was over far enough, but he wasn't.
Officers from the Elsmere police department and Norfolk Southern Railroad are investigating.
