Officials released the names of two people killed in a McCreary County fire Sunday morning.

According to the Herald-Leader, Shirley Tooley, 52, and her 17-year-old grandson, Jonathan Elliott, died in the Whitley City blaze.

Officials say Tooley was looking after two mentally disabled adults and the teen. The two other adults made it safely out of the burning home. Tooley died at the scene and Elliott later died at the hospital. The coroner says both victims died from smoke inhalation.

Police say a wood burning stove apparently sparked the blaze.
