We've made it to Friday and the waiting game begins... the sun is shining and it's already in the upper 70s but there are showers firing over western Kentucky. We'll see increasing clouds today with highs in the mid 80s. You can also expect scattered showers and storms to well up in the heat of the mid to late afternoon with a more substantial round of showers and storms on the way Friday evening as the cold front approaches. If you have any outdoor activities planned (Friday night football games, cookouts, etc.) have a contingency plan in place. Severe storms aren't likely but heavy rain, lightning and brief strong wind gusts will put a damper on your Friday night.
