A man died after he crashed his motorcycle into an embankment in Scott County Wednesday evening.

Police say the motorcyclist was riding northbound along I-75 when he lost control and left the roadway around mile marker 143, north of Georgetown. EMS took the victim to Saint Elizabeth Medical Center in Grant County were he was pronounced dead.

Authorities have not released the name of the victim, saying only that he was a 56-year-old Boone County man.
