Investigators have released the name of a 5-year-old boy who was killed in a horse riding accident Sunday night.

It happened at about 6 p.m. on a trail at Eagles Nest in Mercer County. Deputies say Caden Moon was riding with his family when he slipped from the horse and the animal fell on him.

His family rushed him to a local hospital, where he died of head injuries.
